Also a NPC cannot live in a house that is filled with darkness so you must get some light into the house somehow the easiest opition is making torches to light up the house a NPC needs atleast 2 light sources in their room/house. So when you have created your workbench, chair and table place them down and make walls and put them on your back wall of your house. Villiages (NPC's) cannot live in a house without a table and a chair to sit at so when you start off make sure you collect alot of wood because you will need it. This will be a home for your guide( the other guy that drops into your world with you).This will be the start of your little villiage where all your NPC's can help you build certain items.Īfter you have built your first hut/house for your guide thats not it your not safe it is not a house without walls so make sure you build a work bench and get some walls on it. first things first you need to get past your first night in terraria before you do anything night comes quick so you better get chopping some wood to build a house/hut.
